Dame Angela Gerard

Excellencies, fellow  knights and dames.

Our Lieutenancy is greatly saddened at the passing of Dame Angela Gerard, DCHS, on July 9, 2026.

Dame Angela was invested into the Order in 2017 and was a regular participant at our AGMs and at many of our social events. Her unshakeable faith and vibrant joy left a lasting impression on all who knew her

Her funeral will be held on Thursday July 16th at noon at Saint Benedict's Church in Halifax. Visitation will be on Tuesday the 14th.

On behalf of the Lieutenancy, I send Dame Angela's family and friends our deepest condolences. Please remember Dame Angela, her family, and all those close to her in your prayers
